Getting Started

The NWGC has two Promethion 24 instruments, allowing us to generate significant amounts of ONT sequencing data. We can generate data on the standard ligation-based kits as well as the ultralong kits, depending on the needs of the Researcher. As a part of the All of Us Research Program, the NWGC has generated high quality ONT data for hundreds of participants.

Below is a list of important information and tips for using our Library Construction and Sequencing services.

1.) Have a clear outline of the goals and expectations for your project. The project managers in our lab will do everything they can to make sure these are met, and having this information upfront can greatly help with providing all the data and information you need.

2.) Do not submit samples without first contacting us for a quote and a project manager sends you a blank manifest (sample sheet) to fill out. For quotes, please email nwgc@uw.edu.

3.) Please review the Submitting Samples instructions carefully! This document has detailed information about how our processes and pipelines function, so it is important to review prior to submitting samples.

4.) If you have any questions during the process, the project manager is the best contact to answer them. Please see the Contact Us page.
