Welcome to the Northwest Genomics Center!
Please email us at nwgc@uw.edu in order to discuss your projects today!
The Northwest Genomics Center (NWGC) offers high-throughput sequencing, genotyping, and microarray services. We operate a cutting edge genomics laboratory that uses automated liquid handlers to minimize run-to-run batch effects and to provide fast turnaround times at an economical cost.
The NWGC operates a fleet of the latest instrumentation from the world’s leaders in Next Generation Sequencing technologies. We employ short-read sequencers from Illumina and Element Biosciences, long-read sequencers from PacBio and Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Illumina genotyping platforms, and the 10X Genomics Chromium X system for single-cell multiome studies.
Please see our Services section to see our array of offerings and how to get started with your sequencing and genotyping projects. Please contact us at nwgc@uw.edu with any questions.
The Northwest Genomics Center (NWGC) is a premier next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genotyping center located within the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. We provide top-quality services and have the capacity for large-scale, high-throughput sequencing and genotyping, including custom projects. The NWGC is led by Dr. Chia-Lin Wei, PhD, Professor of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington, a leader in the field of genomics.
The NWGC was established in 2009 and directed by Dr. Debbie Nickerson until December 2021. She was passionate about the application of genomic sequence data to precision medicine, and her work continues through her dedicated team and colleagues.
