I grew up moving around East Africa with my parents’ jobs which showed me the importance of sustainability on a global scale. I am a sophomore at the University of Washington, studying Environmental Science & Terrestrial Resource Management. I have been working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CINTRAFOR since the Spring of 2024. Here, I have worked on mapping out Washington sawmills and collecting data on mass timbers producers throughout the world. Living in Washington has sparked a deeper appreciation for forests which CINTRAFOR has given me the opportunity to learn more about. I would love to continue working with and learning more about the mass timber industry as it has the potential to be extremely beneficial and sustainable for our changing world.
Outside of school, I love to get outside through climbing, surfing, hiking, camping, and everything in between. I am also very interested in beekeeping and would love to work with bees in the future. A fun fact about me is that I’ve lived in 5 countries and 3 states!
