Before pursuing a Master’s degree in Mass Timber under advisor Professor Kent Wheiler, I worked for over 20 years in international timber and timber products trade. I also worked for a decade in mass timber, particularly Cross-Laminated Timber, representing one of the leading CLT manufacturers in Austria. Additionally, I carried out supply chain assessments and legality verifications of timber products originating from China, ensuring transparency and compliance across global markets.

Currently, I am conducting a comparative study on CLT production practices in Europe and North America as my Master’s thesis. The goal of this research is to identify valuable experiences and processes from European production that could benefit and enhance the North American CLT industry.

Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, watching movies, and reading books. A fun fact: I am on a mission to convert the entire lab into Chinese food enthusiasts—one dumpling at a time.
